Oncowin Cancer Center Organises Rally of Hope for Cancer Awareness

Oncowin Cancer Center, one of the leading institutions for cancer and blood disorder treatment in Gujarat, organised an inspiring motorcycle rally called the ‘Rally of Hope’. The event aimed to support cancer patients and survivors, while also raising awareness about cancer treatment. More than 50 bikers from the Gujarat bikers community took part in this event with great enthusiasm. The rally was flagged off by the team from Oncowin Cancer Center and popular radio personality RJ Devang from Fever FM. The rally began in Narol and concluded in Nikol, bringing together medical professionals, cancer warriors, and the general public who shared a common goal of spreading hope and awareness.

Participants highlighted the importance of adopting a healthy lifestyle and quitting harmful habits. Dr. Itesh Khatwani, co-founder and medical oncologist of Oncowin Cancer Center, stated, “Our aim at Oncowin is not just to treat diseases, but also to provide inspiration and support. Through the ‘Rally of Hope’, we wanted to raise awareness about cancer and share the progress in cancer treatment.”

Oncowin Cancer Center is known for its comprehensive and patient-centered approach to managing cancer and hematological diseases. The center offers services such as chemotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted therapy, paediatric hematology and oncology, intrathecal chemotherapy, bone marrow procedures, and palliative care.

Cancer is a serious illness that affects not only the patients but also their families. It can cause social, financial, and emotional challenges. At Oncowin, they provide an optimistic approach to patient care, aiming to heal both physical and mental pain. They strive to be synonymous with quality cancer care in Gujarat by 2030 and plan to establish a chain of dedicated cancer centers for complete cancer care near patients’ homes.

Dr. Gourang Modi, a medical oncologist, pointed out that approximately 65% of oral cancer cases are diagnosed late due to a lack of awareness. Just two minutes of self-examination every month can help in timely identification and treatment of cancer. Cancer can be completely eradicated if detected early.

The ‘Rally of Hope’ not only aimed to raise awareness about cancer but also encouraged community involvement in supporting those affected by this disease. The event was a reminder of the collective strength of the community in fighting cancer. It highlighted the need for early detection and the importance of seeking medical help promptly.

As the participants rode through the streets of Ahmedabad, they spread messages of hope and resilience, encouraging others to join the fight against cancer. The event showcased the spirit of unity and the determination to make a difference in the lives of those battling cancer. Oncowin Cancer Center continues to play a vital role in providing quality care and support to cancer patients and their families, making a significant impact on the community.
