Over £11,000 Stolen from Tour Operator's Home in Ghatlodia

In a shocking incident in Ghatlodia, Ahmedabad, a tour operator has reported the theft of ₹11 lakh (approximately £11,000) from his home. The incident occurred late at night while the tour operator, Sanjay Patel, was preparing to deposit the cash in the bank. He had placed the money in a bag in his bedroom but did not lock the bedroom door. The next morning, his wife found out about the theft when someone informed her about a purse lying on the road nearby. The purse contained visiting cards and other items but no money.

Sanjay Patel, who runs a travel agency called Patel Holidays, intended to deposit the money from the sale of his office. He had recently sold his forex company and had kept the cash at home for safekeeping until he could go to the bank.

When he checked the bag in the morning, he discovered that the money was missing. Sanjay and his wife searched their house for the cash but found nothing. They then reported the theft to the Ghatlodia police station.

The police have begun their investigation and are checking CCTV footage from around the area to gather more information about the incident. This theft follows a recent robbery at a doctor’s house in Vastrapur, indicating a growing concern about safety in the area. Residents are worried about the increase in crime and are calling for better security measures to protect their homes and belongings.

Sanjay Patel’s case highlights the need for individuals to be vigilant about their cash and valuables, especially in light of recent events. As investigations continue, the community hopes for a quick resolution to this alarming crime.
