Mumbai: Veteran actor Paresh Rawal has confirmed that he will return to the much-loved film series, Hera Pheri 3. This announcement comes after some confusion surrounding his earlier exit from the project. Paresh shared the good news during a podcast with Himanshu Mehta, stating that all issues have been resolved.
In May, Paresh Rawal caused a stir when he announced on social media that he was stepping away from Hera Pheri 3. This announcement led to a legal dispute. Akshay Kumar’s production company, which owns the rights to the film, filed a ₹25 crore lawsuit against Rawal. They accused him of sabotaging the shoot. After this, Rawal returned ₹11 lakh—money that was paid to him—along with 15% interest.
When asked about the controversy during the podcast, Rawal dismissed any ongoing disputes. He said, “There’s no controversy. When people love something so deeply, we must be extra careful. We owe it to the audience. Mehnat karke unko film do (Work hard and deliver the film to them).” He emphasized the need for all key cast members to work together sincerely.
Rawal laughed when asked if the original cast is reuniting. He confirmed, saying, “It was always going to happen—we just needed some fine-tuning. After all, Priyadarshan, Akshay, and Suniel are all creative and have been friends for years.”
Earlier, Rawal had denied reports of creative differences with director Priyadarshan. He clarified in a post on X that his decision to leave was not due to any disagreements. He expressed his love and respect for Priyadarshan.
