Patan Police Seizes Foreign Liquor from Harrier Vehicle

The Patan B Division police have made a significant seizure of foreign liquor. They intercepted a Harrier vehicle on the Patan Highway based on a tip-off. The police set up surveillance after receiving precise information about the vehicle. When the Harrier passed, they stopped it for inspection. Inside, they found 1,561 bottles and tins of foreign liquor worth ₹4,29,612. The police arrested two individuals, Arjun Singh and Mohbat Gamarsingh, in connection with this case. Another suspect named Suresh Bishnoi from Rajasthan is also involved and a case has been registered against him.

According to police sources, the district police chief had ordered action against illegal liquor activities in Patan city and district. The police team, including PI P.D. Solanki and PSI I.G. Morina, was patrolling areas known for gambling and liquor-related activities. During their patrol, they received a tip-off about the Harrier vehicle with a load of illicit liquor, which was heading towards Patan.

The police set up a checkpoint and stopped the vehicle near the Padmanath crossroads in Patan town. Upon inspection, they discovered a substantial quantity of foreign liquor. The arrested individuals, aged 26 and 27, are residents of Virsoda Darbarwas in Mehsana district.

The police have intensified their efforts to combat the illegal liquor trade in the region. This action is part of a broader initiative to eradicate such activities and maintain law and order.
