The Rotary Club of Patan, in collaboration with the Reliance Foundation, has donated health equipment worth over ₹7 lakhs to the local health department. The donation ceremony took place on Saturday at the Rotary Hall, presided over by C.L. Patel, the District Development Officer of Patan.
The donated items include vaccine carrying bags, PPE kits, gloves, and ice packs. These essential supplies were handed over to key officials, including Dr. Vishnubhai Patel, the CDHO, and Dr. Himanshu Dave, the officer in charge of the Civil Hospital.
Rotary President Bhagwanbhai Patel and Secretary Nirav Patel welcomed the guests with shawls and bouquets. Dr. Sodha, the project chairman, gave a speech to honour the attendees. The District Development Officer praised the efforts of the Rotary Club and the Reliance Foundation for their significant contributions to health services in Patan. He noted that the collaboration is invaluable, especially in times of crisis.
Dr. Babu Bhai Prajapati, who managed the event, highlighted the excellent performance of the district administrative and health departments during Operation Sindoor, which has benefitted local residents. Additionally, certificates were awarded during the event for blood donation camps held at the Ranjuj and Der PHC centres.
The ceremony was attended by Dr. Himanshu Dave from Patan Civil Hospital, THO Dr. Alkesh Bhai Sohel, and several medical officers, staff nurses, and ASHA workers from various PHC centres. Their presence underscored the importance of teamwork in improving health services in the district.
This donation marks another step forward in enhancing healthcare facilities in Patan. The Rotary Club’s commitment to social service continues to positively impact the community.
