On Sunday, voting took place for 232 gram panchayats in Patan district. The voting process started at 7 AM and continued until 6 PM. The entire voting was conducted in a peaceful environment. Voters cast their ballots for 224 sarpanch and 563 ward members using ballot papers.
In the Jangaral gram panchayat election, voters showed great enthusiasm. The atmosphere remained calm, with many people coming out to vote. In the Varahi area of the Santapur taluka, there was significant excitement among voters. In the village of Chansma Sunasar, women formed long queues to cast their votes. Three candidates from Chandramana village expressed hope for victory together. Despite light rain in Chandramana, a large number of people still came out to vote. Voters in Dharpur village used umbrellas while reaching the polling stations.
Voting was held at 606 polling stations across nine talukas in the district. A total of 642 ballot boxes were used during the election process. 94 election officials and 94 assistant election officials were on duty. Additionally, 3,402 polling staff members performed their duties efficiently.
Out of 513,786 registered voters, 262,699 were male and 251,087 were female. There were also 405 service voters. 299 polling stations were declared sensitive. To maintain law and order, 1,225 police personnel were deployed. Sources confirm that the voting for the 232 gram panchayats in Patan district was carried out peacefully.
