In Gandhinagar, Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed a large gathering to mark the 20th anniversary of urban development in Gujarat. He began his speech by recalling his recent visits to Vadodara, Dahod, Bhuj, and Ahmedabad. During these visits, he noticed a wave of patriotism and love for the motherland among the people, which is not only present in Gujarat but in every corner of India.

He noted that India has faced challenges from Pakistan, particularly mentioning the ongoing issues related to terrorism. He reflected on India’s history, discussing the painful partition in 1947 and the subsequent rise of terrorism. Modi mentioned that if action had been taken against the terrorists back then, many of the issues India faces today could have been avoided.

He stated that this time, no evidence is required because God is providing the proof. He called upon citizens to partake in this operation, encouraging them to reject foreign products and support local goods. PM Modi made a pointed remark about foreign idols, stating that even Ganesha idols come from abroad, signifying the need to be self-reliant.
He urged everyone to create a list of foreign products they use and to pledge not to buy them. This pledge, he argued, is crucial for the success of Operation Sindoor. He passionately declared, “Take an oath that you will not buy foreign goods; only then will Operation Sindoor be successful.”
