In Banaskantha district, police have made a significant arrest involving a car driver caught with a large amount of foreign liquor. Officers from the Banaskantha LCB (Local Crime Branch) were on patrol when they received a tip-off about a car carrying foreign liquor. They set up a checkpoint and stopped a Toyota Corolla, registration number GJ01HM 5334, for inspection.

Upon checking the vehicle, police found 1,433 bottles of foreign liquor and beer. The total value of the seized goods is estimated to be ₹6,61,203. The driver of the car, identified as Savlaram Madhaji Bishnoi, hails from Bhati, Ranivada, Jalore in Rajasthan. He was taken into custody. Police have registered a case under the Prohibition Act at the Gad police station.

The tip-off that led to the arrest was received by police while they were conducting routine patrols in the Gad police station area. The authorities acted swiftly, setting up a blockade based on the information they received. The seized liquor was of Indian-made foreign origin, and it was being transported without the necessary permits.
