In a recent operation, police in Vadgam’s Manpura village arrested ten individuals for gambling. The police seized a total of ₹38,480 in cash during the raid. The operation took place after the police received a tip-off about the gambling activities. The police were on patrol when they received information about a group of young men playing Teen Patti in an open area behind the higher secondary school in Manpura village. The gamblers had set up a game under the shade of some trees, creating a makeshift gambling spot. Acting on the tip-off, the police raided the location and caught the ten gamblers in the act. The arrested individuals are all from Palanpur, and they have been identified as: Nishar Ahmed, Sameer Ismail, Muzaffar Latif, Aftab Khan, Sarfaraz Abbas, Rizwan Sajid, Rohin Rasidbhai, Nice Javedbhai, Imtiyaz Khan, and Sahibaz Soktabhai. All of them now face charges under the gambling laws. Police have stated that they will continue to monitor such activities in the area to curb illegal gambling. The local community is urged to report any suspicious activities to the police to help maintain law and order. Gambling is illegal in India, and the police are taking strict measures to combat it. This incident highlights the ongoing issue of illegal gambling that can affect the community.
