In Patan city, the local police have made a significant arrest at the Avakar Guest House. Acting on a tip-off, the Special Operations Group (SOG) conducted a surprise raid at the guest house located near the Bagvada police station. During the operation, four women and one male customer were taken into custody. The guest house’s operator is currently missing and is being sought by the police.
The Patan District Superintendent of Police, V.K. Nayak, had received information regarding illegal activities taking place in guest houses across the district. In response, he planned strict enforcement measures. Under the guidance of SOG PI J.G. Solanki, an action plan was created. The SOG team began checking various hotels and guest houses in the area.
During their inspection at the Avakar Guest House, they found that the operator was engaging in illegal sex work by bringing in women from outside. These women were then offered to customers in exchange for money. When questioned, Sanjaybhai Devrajbhai Chaudhari, who was present at the guest house, revealed that the guest house was run by Bhaveshbhai Nathabhai Chaudhari.
Upon further investigation, police discovered that a total of four women were brought to the guest house for the purpose of engaging in illegal activities. Additionally, one male customer was also present at the scene. The police acted promptly, filing charges against the operator under various sections of the Immoral Traffic Prevention Act of 1956.
The arrested individuals were taken into custody, and the police are now working to locate the main suspect, Bhaveshbhai Nathabhai Chaudhari, who is still at large. The police have also seized a cash amount of ₹3,800 and a mobile phone, among other items, amounting to a total value of ₹8,800.
This operation highlights the ongoing efforts by the Patan police to crack down on illegal activities and ensure the safety of the community. Authorities encourage anyone with further information regarding illegal activities to come forward. The police are committed to maintaining law and order in the district and will continue to monitor guest houses and other establishments closely.
