In a recent operation, the Patan LCB police raided a gambling den in the Shankheshwar residential area. They arrested nine individuals who were caught playing games of chance. The police seized a total of ₹1,26,650 in cash and gambling materials. This operation was conducted based on a tip-off received by the police. The Patan District Superintendent of Police, V.K. Nayak, directed the LCB team to crack down on illegal gambling activities in the district. The team, led by PI R.G. Unagar, was patrolling the area when they received information about the gambling activities happening in a residential building.
The police found that Kanti Thakor had invited people to play gambling games in his home located in the Kharwad area of Shankheshwar town. During the raid, the police seized ₹20,150 in cash, gambling paraphernalia, and mobile phones. The total value of the seized items was ₹1,26,650. The arrested individuals have been identified and charged under relevant sections of the law. The case has been handed over to the Shankheshwar police station for further investigation.

1. Vishnuji Hamirji Thakor, Indiranagar, behind the government hospital, Shankheshwar.
2. Hanumanji Dhiraji Thakor, Bolera Road, Panvecha Nagar, Shankheshwar.
3. Bharatji Kanuji Thakor, behind the government hospital, Shankheshwar.
4. Maheshji Ramaji Thakor, Lolada, Shankheshwar.
5. Dapaji Muljiji Thakor, Moto Vas, Shankheshwar.
6. Chhotabhai Somabhai Rawal, Shiva Shakti Society, Shankheshwar.
7. Vinujji Sundaji Thakor, Moto Vas, Shankheshwar.
8. Hazurji Amaraji Thakor, Ranod, Shankheshwar.
9. Viraji Mahadevji Thakor, Moto Vas, Shankheshwar.
Authorities are still searching for Kanti Thakor, the main suspect who organized these gambling activities. The police are actively working to apprehend him as part of their ongoing investigation.
