In Patan, a team from the Local Crime Branch (LCB) has made significant progress in solving cases of computer theft from primary schools. They have arrested four suspects and recovered stolen items worth ₹4,37,500. According to Police Superintendent V.K. Nathi, the LCB initiated action to prevent property-related crimes and to find the culprits.
The investigation began when police received tips about a group of individuals from Samau village in Banaskantha who had stolen computers from primary schools in Thakarasan and Kanesara. The arrested suspects are Mukeshsingh Jadav from Velavapura Samau, Arjunsingh Jadav from Amraniapura Samau, Pankajsingh Jadav from Amraniapura Samau, and Sureshji Thakor, also known as Pappu, from Lalpur, Siddhpur.
These individuals committed the thefts on multiple occasions, stealing from the Thakarasan primary school once and from the Kanesara primary school twice. Meanwhile, two other suspects, Jabbarsingh Jadav and Lilusingh Jadav, both residents of Amraniapura Samau, are still at large.
The police have arrested the suspects under BNSS Section 35(1)E and have seized the stolen property under BNAS Section 106. This swift action by the LCB highlights their commitment to tackling crime in the region, particularly crimes that affect educational institutions.
