In a recent development, the Local Crime Branch (LCB) of Patan district has arrested a fugitive involved in three burglaries. These incidents occurred in the jurisdictions of Siddhpur and Kakoshi police stations. The accused was on the run from the police until his capture by the LCB team.
According to police sources, the Patan Police Chief, V.K. Nayi, had organised a special drive to apprehend fugitives in light of the upcoming local elections in the state. This initiative aimed to improve law enforcement in the Patan district by targeting individuals who had avoided capture.
Under the guidance of LCB Inspector R.G. Unagar, the team conducted patrols in Patan city. They gathered information about the whereabouts of absconding suspects. During these patrols, they received a tip-off about the accused, identified as Jadav Jabbarsinh, also known as Vipulsinh Bharat Singh. He is a resident of Amarainipura village in Disa, Banaskantha district.
The team quickly responded to the information. They located Jadav in Patan city and arrested him. He is linked to three cases of burglary reported at the Siddhpur and Kakoshi police stations. The police have now handed him over to the Siddhpur City B Division police station for further legal action.
This arrest highlights the ongoing efforts of the police in Patan to enhance safety and security in the area. As local elections approach, the police have increased their vigilance and are working hard to ensure that criminals do not escape justice.
The residents of Kakoshi village, where the burglaries took place, are relieved to hear about the arrest. The village is known for its agricultural activities, including the cultivation of wheat, millet, and cotton. However, recent incidents of crime have caused fear among the locals.
In a related incident, the former MLA of Siddhpur, Chandanji Thakor, visited Kakoshi village to address the ongoing water issues faced by the residents. During the summer months, the villagers have been struggling with a lack of drinking water, despite having three borewells. The community has been forced to arrange for water at their own expense, as there has been no assistance from local authorities.
Thakor met with village leaders and officials to discuss the water problems and promised to work towards finding a solution. The villagers are hopeful that with the support of their elected representatives, their water supply issues will be resolved soon.
Overall, the police action and the attention from political leaders demonstrate a commitment to addressing the concerns of the citizens in Patan district. As the local elections draw nearer, it is crucial for the authorities to maintain law and order and ensure public safety in all villages, including Kakoshi and Siddhpur.
