In a bid to tackle crime, the Banaskantha police are taking strict actions to solve unresolved cases. Recently, the Deesa City North Police recovered a suspected stolen motorcycle from a robbery accused. This motorcycle is valued at around 35,000 rupees.
During their patrol, the police spotted an accused named Dashrath Singh Shantubha Solanki, who was seen riding a Honda motorcycle near the Gayatri Temple intersection. The motorcycle had no front or rear number plates, which raised suspicion. The police stopped him for questioning. When asked for the bike’s documents, Solanki could not provide satisfactory answers.
As a result, legal action was initiated against him under Section 35(1)(e) of the Indian Citizen Security Code-2023 at the Deesa City North Police Station. This action reflects the police’s commitment to maintaining law and order in the area. They are determined to ensure that crime does not go unchecked and that the community feels safe.
In addition to recovering the motorcycle, the police are also conducting checks on the identity documents of suspected individuals residing in Deesa City. This includes verifying the Aadhaar cards of Bengali and Bangladeshi nationals living in the area. The police have started this verification process following a recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Kashmir, which has prompted stricter security measures across the state.
The Deesa South Police Station had already begun checking documents of individuals from Bangladesh and West Bengal. Following this, the Deesa City North Police called in people from West Bengal to verify their Aadhaar cards. The authenticity of these cards will be cross-checked with the local revenue office to ensure their validity.
Furthermore, the police plan to investigate individuals who have been living in Gujarat for the past 15 to 20 years with Aadhaar cards. The first phase of this verification process includes summoning suspected individuals to the police station to submit their Aadhaar cards and other essential documents. The police are taking this matter seriously and are committed to apprehending those residing illegally in the area.
These measures are part of a broader effort by the Gujarat government to enhance security and prevent illegal activities. The police are urging the community to cooperate with them in these checks to ensure a safer environment for everyone. Citizens are encouraged to report any suspicious activities or individuals to the police. By working together, the community and law enforcement can help keep Deesa safe and secure.
