Police Seize Foreign Liquor in Sabarkantha; Three Arrested

The Sabarkantha Local Crime Branch (LCB) has made a significant seizure based on a tip-off. They stopped a jeep without a number plate near the three-way junction in Bubadiya, Kheroj. Upon inspection, they discovered 288 bottles of foreign liquor worth 64,000 rupees. The police arrested three individuals from the jeep. The suspects are Rakesh Lakshmanbhai Khokhariya, Kalu Joganabhai Solanki, and Gajendra Mirabhai Gamar. All three are residents of Kotda Chhavni in Udaipur district, Rajasthan.

In this case, the police have seized a total of 1.79 lakh rupees worth of goods. This includes the liquor, three mobile phones, and the jeep. During questioning, it was revealed that seven more individuals are involved. Complaints have also been filed against Upendra Mina, Kanti Gamar, Lalitbhai, Jitubhai, Sardar, Dineshbhai, and Bharat Gamar. Cases have been registered against all these suspects at the Kheroj police station. The police are currently searching for the absconding suspects.

The LCB has been active in recent operations. Just last night, they seized 463 bottles of foreign liquor worth 37.57 lakh rupees. This was found hidden under white powder during a check on a truck near the Kankarol overbridge in Himatnagar. The police arrested the truck driver and registered a case at the Himatnagar A Division police station for further action.

The truck, coming from Shamlaji towards Ahmedabad, was stopped for inspection. The police found bags of white powder, under which the liquor bottles were concealed. The total value of the seized items, including the truck and cash, amounts to 47.64 lakh rupees. The driver, Luna s/o Bala Alsa Jat, was arrested, and the police are investigating further to catch five more suspects involved in this case.

Sabarkantha district is located in the northern part of Gujarat, India. Its main town is Himatnagar, which is close to the Rajasthan border. The district includes several talukas such as Modasa, Malpur, and Dhansura. It has four assembly seats and plays a vital role in the local governance of the region.
