Police Seizes Foreign Liquor Worth ₹13 Lakh in Dantiwada

In a significant operation, the Local Crime Branch (LCB) of Banaskantha seized a large quantity of foreign liquor in Dantiwada. The police conducted a check on the Dairy Road near Vavdhar and stopped a car with the registration number GJ09BG4389. During this operation, they confiscated foreign liquor worth ₹6.01 lakh and 1,611 bottles of beer. The suspect, Kishanbhai Mohanbhai Mali, a resident of Atal in Dantiwada, was arrested.

The police also seized two mobile phones valued at ₹50,000 and the car itself, which is worth ₹6.50 lakh. The total value of the confiscated items amounts to ₹13.01 lakh.

Several other suspects are currently on the run. These include Gulabsinh Vaghela, Cheharsinh Vaghela, Ganpatsinh Devda, Sunilsinh Jhala, Situsingh Vaghela, and Nirvansinh Vaghela. They are believed to have conspired to smuggle liquor from Bherugadh in Rajasthan into Gujarat. The operation was carried out under the guidance of Banaskantha Superintendent of Police Akshayraj and LCB PI A.V. Desai. Legal proceedings have begun at the Dantiwada police station regarding this case.

The crackdown on illegal liquor trade reflects the ongoing efforts by the police to curb such activities in the region. This incident is part of a larger trend where the LCB and local police have been actively pursuing and raiding locations suspected of housing illegal liquor.
