The Gujarat government has implemented a master plan worth ₹32.71 crores for the development of the Aashapura Dham area, located in the Lakhpat taluka of Kutch. This plan aims to enhance facilities for the many pilgrims who visit the Aashapura Mata temple. The project includes various amenities to improve the experience of visitors.

Under the master plan, facilities have been developed at the Mata No Madh area, including better access and improved infrastructure. The state government, led by Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, is focused on promoting religious tourism in Gujarat. This includes upgrading important pilgrimage sites like Aashapura Mata temple and its surroundings.

The renovated facilities will include a new entrance plaza, parking, and beautification of the nearby Ruparai Talav. There will also be drinking water facilities, seating arrangements, and the planting of trees to enhance the environment. The Khattala Bhavani temple is situated on a hill and has always attracted many visitors, especially during the Navratri festival. The renovations include improved paths and landscaping to enhance the visitor experience. The Chachra Kund, an ancient water reservoir, has also been restored with modern lighting and facilities for visitors to enjoy meals in a communal kitchen-dining area.

These developments are significant for the local community and the numerous devotees who visit the region. The upgrades not only enhance the spiritual experience of the pilgrims but also aim to boost local tourism and the economy. The Gujarat government hopes that these improvements will draw more visitors to the area, benefiting local businesses and promoting cultural heritage.

The inauguration of these facilities marks a crucial step towards improving the experience of millions of devotees and promoting Gujarat as a key destination for pilgrimage tourism.
