Protean eGov Technologies Limited has recently appointed Ranbhir Singh Dhariwal as the Group Head of Social Security and Welfare (GH-SSW). This company, formerly known as NSDL e-Governance Infrastructure Limited, is a leader in creating digital public infrastructure and providing e-governance solutions at the population level. In his new role, Dhariwal will lead Protean’s Central Recordkeeping Agency (CRA) under the Social Security and Welfare vertical. He will serve as the head and principal officer of the CRA under the PFRDA regulations.
Dhariwal’s responsibilities will include driving strategic growth, enhancing product development for NPS, APY, and UPS, improving operational efficiency, and ensuring regulatory compliance. Suresh Sethi, the MD and CEO of Protean eGov Technologies, expressed excitement about Dhariwal joining the team. He highlighted Dhariwal’s extensive experience in pension fund management and operations, stating that he is well-positioned to advance Protean’s mission of creating a pensioned society and securing a safe future for all Indians.
Dhariwal commented on the importance of retirement planning for financial stability. He feels honoured to join Protean eGov, an organisation known for enabling transformative digital infrastructure in India. He is eager to advocate for inclusive and scalable pension solutions for millions across the country.
Previously, Dhariwal served as the CEO of Max Life Pension Fund and has over 25 years of experience in pension funds, insurance, and BPO services. Protean currently holds a dominant 98% market share in the CRA segment for NPS, APY, and UPS in India. However, the expansion of pensions in India is only about 3% of GDP, revealing significant potential for growth and development.
The appointment comes at a crucial time as the demand for digital governance solutions continues to rise. With Dhariwal’s leadership, Protean aims to enhance its services and ensure that pension solutions are accessible to all citizens. This move not only strengthens the company’s capabilities but also reflects its commitment to improving the financial security of millions in India.
As India moves towards a more digital economy, the role of organisations like Protean becomes increasingly important. The integration of technology in social security and welfare programs can lead to greater efficiency and transparency, benefiting both the government and its citizens. Protean’s initiatives under Dhariwal’s guidance are expected to pave the way for innovative solutions that address the needs of the population and support India’s economic growth.
In conclusion, the appointment of Ranbhir Singh Dhariwal as the Group Head of Social Security and Welfare at Protean eGov Technologies marks a significant step towards enhancing digital governance in India.
