There have been repeated requests for elections, but none have taken place yet. The leader of the opposition in the Vadodara district Panchayat wrote a letter to the government, highlighting the lack of governance due to elected members not being in place. This has led to delays in essential decisions on services such as electricity, water, roads, and health, affecting the common people. In total, there are 536 Gram Panchayats across eight talukas in Vadodara district, but the development has stalled due to the absence of elected representatives. The government is urged to conduct elections promptly to facilitate effective governance and development in these villages.
