In Ahmedabad, the COVID-19 pandemic is causing concern among citizens as new cases are reported. Just in one day, 17 new cases were confirmed, raising the total number of active cases to 76. This increase has reminded many of the challenging times in 2020 and 2021.
In total, 89 COVID-19 cases have been reported in Ahmedabad this month. Out of these, 13 patients have recovered, while 76 are still receiving treatment. This is a significant jump from just 31 active cases reported a week ago on the 23rd of the month.
New cases are emerging from both the eastern and western parts of the city. Alarmingly, one case was reported from the boys’ hostel of LG Hospital. Previously, a case had also been confirmed in a girls’ hostel.
Several wards, including Jodhpur, Bodakdev, Paldi, and Vastrapur, have seen a rise in cases. In Bodakdev, there are currently 15 active patients, while Jodhpur has 11 active cases.
In response to the rising cases, the state government and Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation are taking precautionary measures. Isolation wards are being prepared to manage the situation.
Not only Ahmedabad, but the city of Jamnagar has also reported cases. All four members of a family who travelled abroad have tested positive and are currently isolating. Additionally, Rajkot has reported four new cases over the last three days, and Surat has confirmed one more positive case.
Due to the increasing number of cases, the government is urging citizens to remain vigilant. The health department has instructed all municipal bodies to ensure that patients receive prompt treatment and all necessary services are available.
As the situation develops, it is crucial for everyone to follow health guidelines and stay safe. The rise in COVID-19 cases serves as a reminder for all to take precautions seriously and protect themselves and others.
