In a significant event for education in Gujarat, Saanand Taluka held the Kanya Kelavani Mahotsav and School Admission Festival from June 26 to 28, 2025. This festival aimed to strengthen the foundation of education in the state and welcomed over 3,000 children into standard 1 and Balvatika across 112 schools.
The three-day event was graced by several high-ranking officials. Notable figures included Himanshu Paliwal, Chairman of the Sanskrit Board, and Sachin Parikh, Joint Director of Technical Education. They, along with other officials, personally attended the event, encouraging the children as they began their educational journey.
The officials inspired the young students, emphasising the importance of a bright future and quality education. This initiative showcased the commitment of government authorities to the well-being of children in the district. Along with their school admissions, students received a symbolic ‘word flower’ as a source of motivation for their educational path.
Throughout the festival, the Chairman of the Sanskrit Board provided detailed information about various government educational schemes. He answered questions from curious attendees in an engaging and child-friendly manner.
In addition to the admissions, tree planting activities were also organised to promote environmental protection. Parents and teachers participated in discussions aimed at improving educational quality. The focus was on enhancing student attendance, maintaining the environment, and encouraging community involvement.
On the last day of the event, Mr Paliwal congratulated the schools for their achievements over the three days. He remarked that the festival marked the beginning of the educational journey for over 3,000 children, facilitated by dedicated and experienced officials. He noted that this programme successfully raised awareness about the importance of education among parents and sparked interest in learning among children.
