School Admission Festival in Morbi Welcomes New Students

Morbi, June 26, 2025 – A school admission festival took place in Nani Vavdi, Morbi, under the leadership of District Collector K.B. Zaveri. The event was organized to warmly welcome new students at Nani Vavdi Kumar School, Kanya School, and secondary schools. The festival is part of the Kanya Education Festival, aiming to ensure that every girl receives an education and no child is left without schooling. During his speech, Collector Zaveri highlighted the success of the initiative, noting a decrease in dropout rates as more children are now attending school. He emphasized the importance of every child receiving education and nutritious food at schools, wishing them all the best for their future.

The program was themed ‘Festival of the Holistic Development of Children’ with the objective of transforming the school admission process into a community celebration. Many dignitaries, including Collector Zaveri, warmly welcomed the new students, presenting them with educational kits and celebrating their entry into school. The event also involved planting trees.

In Nani Vavdi, 28 children were admitted to the Anganwadi, consisting of 12 boys and 16 girls. In Standard 1, 82 children were admitted, including 46 boys and 36 girls. In Standard 9, 62 children were admitted, comprising 30 boys and 32 girls. In addition to this event, Collector Zaveri attended programs at Ambavadi School and Rajpar Primary School, where 147 more children were admitted.

The event attracted a large crowd, including local leaders, teachers, parents, and students. The presence of community members showed the importance of education in the region. The local government aims to keep improving educational facilities and ensure that more children have access to quality education. This initiative is part of a broader effort to strengthen education in Gujarat and reduce dropout rates across the state.
