In a shocking incident that has alarmed the local community, a 17-year-old girl was allegedly assaulted by a security guard in Bopal, Ahmedabad. The incident occurred on July 7, 2025, early in the morning. The victim was helping her mother, who works as a housemaid, when she went to the apartment complex to inform her mother’s employers about her late arrival.
Around 7:15 am, the girl entered the residential building and took the lift. Unfortunately, the accused, identified as Vinod Ramhari Jatav, followed her into the lift. When the lift reached the 10th floor, Jatav allegedly restrained her and forced her to the terrace on the 17th floor. There, he tied her hands with her dupatta and assaulted her.
After the attack, the assailant fled to his home nearby. The victim managed to escape and told her mother about the horrifying experience. Her mother quickly reported the incident to the Bopal police, who acted swiftly.
Police reviewed CCTV footage from the building and conducted interviews in the area. These efforts led to the quick identification and arrest of Jatav in his residence. The security guard was employed by Global Vision Security Services and now faces serious charges under various sections of the Indian Penal Code and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
