In a shocking incident in Navrangpura, a woman running a spa reported that her son broke the spa’s CCTV cameras. The reason for this action remains unclear. The woman, Salma Usmanbhai Katiya, operates a spa in the Mangalmurti Complex on Ashram Road. She has three young women working at her establishment.
Recently, a similar incident occurred in Bodakdev, where a young man under the influence of alcohol was seen verbally abusing a spa girl in a viral video. Following this, the police have been taking spa-related issues more seriously.
On the night of the incident, Salma and her staff were waiting for a rickshaw to go home after closing the spa. Her son, Sherkhan Pathan, aged 22, suddenly appeared and vandalised the CCTV cameras. He allegedly threw the broken pieces at his mother. Shortly after, Salma’s nephew, Rafiq Khalifa, arrived and confronted Sherkhan, leading to a heated exchange.
Salma filed a complaint at the Navrangpura police station. The police have begun an investigation into the matter. Inspector A.A. Desai is leading the effort to locate Sherkhan and his brother. However, the motive behind Sherkhan’s actions remains a mystery. This incident highlights ongoing concerns about safety and behaviour in local spas, prompting a renewed focus from law enforcement in the area.
