Students Face Challenges in University Admission Process

In Palanpur, students are struggling with the university admission process. The Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) has raised concerns about the difficulties students face when applying for university places through the GCAS portal. They have submitted a letter to the district collector, urging the government to simplify the admission process. Many students from rural areas find it hard to access the portal, which often runs slowly, leaving them unable to secure their admissions. The ABVP is demanding that the government complete the admission process quickly, especially through a special round of admissions. They want equal opportunities for students at state and private universities and are asking for options to choose their preferred colleges. They also highlighted that some colleges have not yet released results for undergraduate courses, making it hard for students to apply for postgraduate courses. Therefore, they have requested prompt results from these institutions. The letter aims to ensure that all students, regardless of their background, have a fair chance at higher education. The ABVP is committed to helping students navigate these challenges, advocating for a more transparent and efficient admission process that allows every student in Gujarat to pursue their educational dreams without unnecessary barriers.
