Support Price Purchase of Summer Moong Begins in Gujarat

The purchase of summer moong at support prices will start across Gujarat from June 21. This decision comes as over 23,400 farmers registered for the sale. The government has set the support price at ₹8,682 per quintal for the year 2024-25. In Gujarat, summer moong was cultivated on 56,000 hectares this year.

The state government has appointed nodal agencies to manage the purchase process. Farmers can sell their moong at 93 designated centers. All registered farmers will receive notifications via SMS about the process. They need to be present at the respective centers with their produce.

This purchase was initially scheduled for June 14 but was postponed due to unavoidable circumstances. The government assures that farmers will receive fair prices for their crops. This initiative aims to support farmers and ensure they benefit from their hard work.
