In the scorching summer heat, the Shamlaji Bhagwan Yuva Trust Group from Surat has become a beacon of hope for cows and other helpless animals in the outskirts of Banaskantha district. This group has set a remarkable example of service through its unique activities.
Recently, the group distributed green fodder to more than 1,000 stray cows in around 15 villages in the Tharad, Lakhani, and Dantiwada talukas. They used six vehicles to transport the fodder, which is hard to find in this extreme heat. This initiative has proven to be a lifesaver for many cows in need.
During Diwali, cow welfare activist Vasantbhai Desai from Pavadasan also provided support to cows through the group. He mentioned that the group does not only serve during the summer but also visits needy gaushalas (cow shelters) during the Diwali season. They provide essential items such as dry fodder, jaggery, and grains. The group receives support from dedicated youth and donors, and they express heartfelt gratitude to all cow protectors and donors.
