Swarrnim Institute of Technology recently held ‘SWARR – आरंभ 2025’, an orientation program designed for new diploma and degree engineering students. The event took place on July 30 and 31 at the Seminar Hall of Swarrnim Startup and Innovation University in Gandhinagar. Around 175 students, along with their parents, attended this important event.
The orientation aimed to help first-year students transition smoothly into academic life. It provided them with a clear understanding of the institute’s vision, values, and the student-centric ecosystem. Many insightful sessions were organised, covering topics such as academic planning, innovation, industry exposure, and personal development.
The program was led by notable figures including Dr. Kavita Kshatriya, Academic Dean, Dr. Santosh Kolte, Principal of Swarrnim Institute of Technology, and Dr. Leena Patekar, Head of the Science and Humanities Department. Their participation highlighted the commitment of the faculty to support students in their educational journey.
Parents were also included in the sessions, which allowed them to understand how the institute plans to nurture their children’s academic and personal growth. This inclusive approach is crucial for building a supportive educational environment.
Swarrnim Startup and Innovation University focuses on creating a hub for innovation and entrepreneurship. It aims to equip students with the skills needed to thrive in today’s competitive world. The university offers various programs across disciplines like Engineering, Architecture, Design, and Management, all with a strong emphasis on startup culture.
The orientation is part of a broader effort by Swarrnim University to encourage students to think creatively and develop entrepreneurial skills. By providing a robust platform for learning, the university aims to transform raw ideas into successful startups.
In addition to academic support, the university has established facilities such as an Incubation Centre, where students can work on their ideas and receive guidance from experienced mentors. This hands-on approach to learning is designed to prepare students for real-world challenges and opportunities.
The commitment to innovation does not stop at academics. The university regularly organises events that bring together students, industry leaders, and successful entrepreneurs. These events, like the recent Sportspreneur Event 2025 held on August 1 and 2, provide students with the chance to network and learn from experts in the field.
During the Sportspreneur Event, over 200 participants engaged in various activities, including startup pitches and exhibitions. The focus was on integrating sports with entrepreneurship, especially as India prepares for the possibility of hosting the 2036 Olympics. This initiative reflects the university’s goal of fostering a culture where sports and innovation go hand in hand.
Overall, the orientation program at Swarrnim Institute of Technology is a significant step in preparing students for their future. It not only introduces them to the academic environment but also instills a sense of community and belonging. The university’s dedication to innovation and entrepreneurship ensures that students are well-equipped to face the challenges ahead and make a meaningful impact in their respective fields.
As students embark on this new chapter, they are encouraged to embrace the opportunities available to them and strive for excellence in their studies and beyond. The support from faculty, the collaborative environment, and the focus on innovation are key elements that will help shape their future success.
