Theft at Five Shops Causes Panic in Disa, Gujarat

In a worrying incident late at night, five shops in Disa, a town in Banaskantha district, Gujarat, were broken into. The theft took place near the Rachna Society complex on the Disa-Palanpur highway. Thieves made off with goods worth over two lakh rupees, causing panic among local traders.

The shops targeted in this theft include Zorko Sweets, Chai Nagri, Meladi Auto Consultants, Yogeshwar Cement Agency, and Bharat Auto Parts. According to reports from the shop owners, the thieves stole around 55,000 rupees in cash, two mobile phones, a laptop, a PC, and other valuable items.

Initial investigations suggest that the thieves used iron rods and other tools to lift the shutters of the shops. The entire incident was captured on CCTV cameras, showing three suspicious individuals in action. The Disa South Police have begun reviewing the footage to identify and apprehend the thieves.

This incident has raised concerns about security in the highway area, prompting local traders to call for increased police patrols and better safety measures. Many traders are feeling insecure and anxious about the safety of their businesses following this brazen act of theft.

Local business associations are urging the police to take swift action. They believe that a lack of police presence at night has contributed to such crimes. The traders are looking for reassurance from law enforcement that they will work to prevent similar incidents in the future.

The fear among business owners is palpable. They worry that if such acts of crime continue, it could lead to a decline in customers and, ultimately, their businesses.

As the investigation unfolds, the police are appealing to the public for any information that could lead to the arrest of the culprits. They are hopeful that with community cooperation, they can address this alarming situation promptly.

In the meantime, shop owners are taking extra precautions, including improving their shop security systems. Many are investing in stronger locks and alarm systems to deter future theft attempts.

This incident highlights the growing issue of security concerns faced by small businesses in Gujarat. As the state continues to develop and grow economically, local authorities must ensure that law enforcement keeps pace with the needs of the community for safety and security.

Traders are optimistic that with improved police action, they can once again feel secure in their business operations and continue to contribute to the local economy. They believe that a united front, alongside police efforts, can help restore a sense of safety and normalcy in the region.
