A Jain temple located in the B.D. High School campus of Patan has been robbed. The incident occurred between the evening of July 5 and the morning of July 6. An unknown person broke into the temple and stole valuable items. The Patan A Division Police Station received a complaint regarding this theft.
The thief entered the temple and took four silver idols and eight silver eyes, which are part of the idols. The total weight of the stolen silver items is around 200 grams, valued at approximately ₹15,000. Additionally, the thief broke open a donation box and stole ₹8,000 in cash. In total, the theft amounts to ₹23,000.
Deerajlal Punamchand Alamchand Shah, a retired leader of the Jain community, reported the theft to the police. The police have started an investigation into the matter.
