Third Round Announced for RTE Admissions in Patan District

In Patan district, the admission process for private primary schools under the Right to Education (RTE) has started. A total of 1,019 seats are available, with 25% reserved for economically weaker sections. In the first round, 894 children secured admission out of 978 available seats. The second round, which ended on May 28, saw 62 students admitted to 83 seats. However, five students did not show up for admission, and 16 parents did not select a school. This leaves 63 seats remaining, of which 21 have been opened for the third round, announced recently.

Many seats remain unfilled due to parents’ lack of interest in certain schools. So far, including the 21 seats in the third round, 977 admissions have been allocated out of 1,019 available. Parents of selected students in this round will need to visit the school with necessary documents from June 6 to 13 to complete the admission process.

This initiative aims to provide access to quality education for children from disadvantaged backgrounds. The RTE Act ensures that every child has the right to free and compulsory education until the age of 14. It is a critical step towards improving literacy and educational standards in the region.

The Patan district is known for its historical significance and rich culture. The district was formed on October 1, 1997, when it was carved out of the Mehsana district. It is home to several notable towns and villages, each contributing to the area’s unique heritage. The district’s schools, both government and private, are working to comply with the RTE guidelines to provide equitable education.

The third round of admissions is crucial for many families who rely on this opportunity for their children’s future. The government is committed to ensuring that all children, regardless of their background, have access to education. It is hoped that this round will fill the remaining seats and help many more children find a place in school.

Parents are encouraged to act quickly and ensure their children’s admission. The government has made it clear that this is an important opportunity that should not be missed. Schools are expected to support the process and provide a welcoming environment for all students.

In conclusion, the announcement of the third round for RTE admissions in Patan district is a positive development for families seeking educational opportunities. As the deadline approaches, it is essential for interested parents to gather their documents and visit their chosen schools promptly. This effort reflects the ongoing commitment to enhancing educational access and quality in Gujarat.
