The police team, led by Sub-Inspector S.V. Goswami, acted on the information and apprehended the suspects. They seized 19.060 kilograms of ganja, along with cash worth INR 3,210 and a mobile phone. The total value of the seized items amounted to INR 1,98,810.
The arrested individuals have been identified as Shehzad Firoz Pathan, aged 30, from Sanand, and Manisha Sandip Pakhre, aged 35, from Manegaon, Nandura, Jalgaon district in Maharashtra. During the preliminary questioning, the suspects revealed that the ganja was sourced from Arbaz Gulamastagir Malek, who is also from Nadiad.
The police have continued their investigation to uncover more details about the ganja supply chain. They also arrested Arbaz Malek, who allegedly coordinated the delivery of the illegal drugs.
