In Mansa, Gandhinagar, a tragic incident occurred during an unauthorised fair on Kalol Road. Without any official approval, a local man started a fair with various rides for children. On the night of May 31, a sudden storm hit the area. During this storm, several children were playing on a Mickey Mouse bungee trampoline, which caused the trampoline to crash down, throwing the children to the ground.
Two young girls were seriously injured in this accident. They were immediately taken to a hospital in Ahmedabad for treatment. Sadly, one of the girls, a five-year-old named Kanavi, died during the treatment. The other girl, a four-year-old named Kavya, is still recovering.
The incident sparked outrage among the community. Family members of the deceased girl, along with other residents, held a silent rally to demand justice. They called for action against those responsible for the girl’s death. Participants in the rally wore black bands and carried banners calling for accountability.
Reports indicate that Shyam Lal Raval, the man behind the fair, did not obtain any necessary permits before setting it up. Following the accident, a complaint was filed against him with the local deputy collector. The police have arrested him and he is currently in jail.
