In a tragic incident in Devgad Baria, a young biker lost his life after being struck by a pickup truck. The accident took place in the village of Degavada, located in the Dahod district of Gujarat. The pickup driver reportedly lost control of the vehicle and collided with the motorcycle on May 28.
The victim, identified as Jaswant Singh, also known as Lalo, was riding his motorcycle when the accident occurred. Witnesses say the pickup truck was speeding recklessly through the village, and it hit Jaswant’s motorcycle with great force.
As a result of the collision, Jaswant was thrown off his bike and sustained severe injuries to his body, arms, legs, and head. Sadly, he succumbed to his injuries shortly after the accident.
After the incident, the driver of the pickup truck fled the scene, leaving behind the wreckage. The local villagers were shocked by the news, and many rushed to help Jaswant but were unable to save him.
Laxman Singh Narvat Singh Chauhan, a relative of the victim, filed a complaint at the Devgad Baria police station. Following this, the police registered a case and have begun an investigation into the incident. They are working to track down the driver who escaped after the accident.
This tragic event has raised concerns among local residents about road safety in the area. Many are calling for better traffic regulations and measures to prevent reckless driving. The community is mourning the loss of a young life and hopes that justice will be served.
Devgad Baria is situated in the western part of India, within the Dahod district of Gujarat. The town is approximately 44 kilometers west of Godhra and 54 kilometers east of Dahod. It is located 14 kilometers south of the national highway connecting Ahmedabad and Indore.
