A tragic accident occurred on Monday night near Roda village in the Harij taluka of Gujarat. A speeding white Swift Dzire car hit two men who were herding a buffalo near the Shitala Mata temple. Both men, identified as 55-year-old Desai Azmalbhai Shakkarbhai and Desai Nagjibhai Maanbhai, suffered fatal injuries. The accident took place when they were walking on the road. Azmalbhai died instantly at the scene. Nagjibhai was severely injured and rushed to a hospital in Ahmedabad, where he also succumbed to his injuries.

The driver of the car fled the scene after the incident, abandoning the vehicle about one to one and a half kilometers away near a canal in Roda. Azmalbhai’s son filed a complaint at the Harij police station. Following this, the police registered a case and began searching for the driver who escaped.
