A tragic accident occurred on the Bhildi Highway, resulting in the deaths of two individuals. The collision involved an Ertiga car and a truck, leading to the serious injury of three others. The incident took place near the SBI bank on the highway, as the victims were travelling from Palanpur to Kandla.
According to reports, the victims were identified as Alok Kumar Ram Bahadur Lal Srivastava, a 72-year-old man, and his 8-year-old granddaughter, Avika. They were travelling with their family when the accident happened around 12:15 AM on Wednesday. The car, carrying the family, collided violently with a trailer truck.
Witnesses rushed to the scene to help the injured. The victims were quickly taken to the Bhildi Community Health Centre (CHC) for initial treatment. However, due to the severity of their injuries, they were later transferred to the Disa Civil Hospital. Tragically, both Lalparidevi and Avika were pronounced dead by doctors upon arrival.
The local police have registered a case against the unknown driver of the truck involved in the accident. They are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the collision.
