Tragic Electrocution Claims Lives of Two Workers in Ahmedabad

In a tragic incident in Ahmedabad, two workers lost their lives due to electrocution while working at the Venus Denim company. The accident occurred five days ago in the village of Miroli, located in the Asalali area. The local police recorded the incident as an accidental death and conducted postmortems on the deceased.

The investigation revealed that the workers were performing painting tasks when they accidentally came into contact with a high-voltage electric line. This line passed through the area and was dangerously close to where the workers were using a metal ladder.

The victims, 56-year-old Mansharam Singh and 23-year-old Jitendra Baghel, were trying to move the metal ladder from one place to another when the ladder touched the live electrical line. This resulted in them receiving a fatal electric shock.

Upon learning of the incident, the Asalali police visited the scene and registered a case of accidental death. The postmortem confirmed that the cause of death was indeed electrocution.

In response to this tragic event, the police have filed charges against the owners, contractors, and managers of Venus Denim. They are accused of negligence for failing to provide safety equipment to the workers.

The police have named several individuals in the case, including Rajendra Prasad Agarwal, Ajay Agarwal, Vishal Agarwal, and Vinay Agarwal, all associated with the company. The manager, Rajnikant Parmar, and contractor Ajabsingh Gurjar have also been implicated.

This incident highlights serious safety concerns in workplaces, especially in industries that involve manual labour. The lack of safety measures can lead to devastating accidents like this one.

Authorities are urging companies to prioritize the safety of their workers. Proper training and safety equipment are essential to prevent such tragic incidents in the future.
