Chief Minister Patel was attending a farmer’s conference in Bardoli to celebrate the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel when he received news of the crash. He immediately left for Ahmedabad to oversee the situation.
The Border Security Force (BSF) team arrived quickly at the scene to begin rescue operations. Local emergency services and fire brigades are also on-site.
