Eyewitnesses described the scene as chaotic, with loud explosions heard as the plane crashed. Many passengers were reported to be injured. Among those on board was former Chief Minister of Gujarat, Vijay Rupani, who was flying to London to visit his daughter. He was travelling alone and his current condition remains uncertain. Rescue operations are ongoing at the crash site.
The crash has raised serious concerns and the Central Home Minister Amit Shah has contacted Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel regarding the incident.
