In parallel, the TransStadia Stadium in Ahmedabad, a significant project by the Gujarat government, faces financial challenges. Managed by TransStadia Holdings and SE TransStadia, the stadium has filed for insolvency due to financial instability. This situation raises concerns about the stadium’s future, especially as the state prepares for the upcoming Olympic Games. The stadium, inaugurated in 2016, has hosted various events, including the Kabaddi World Cup and international football matches. However, there are fears that financial difficulties may lead to its closure, affecting not just sports but also the university and its connected facilities.

As the 36th National Games approach, the stadium is set to host a grand event where the mascot and anthem will be launched. The event will be attended by key figures, including the Central Minister of Home Affairs and Cooperation, Amit Shah. The games, running from September 29 to October 12, will see participation from around 20,000 athletes across 36 states and union territories, showcasing the spirit of national unity through sports. Amid these developments, the future of both the university and the stadium remains critical to the local community and the sports ecosystem in Gujarat.
