Truck Fire Near Godhra: Quick Response Saves Lives

A serious accident was narrowly avoided near Godhra when a truck caught fire due to a short circuit. The truck, driven by Muzaffar Sabir, was transporting around 150 bales of grass from Kakkanpur (Shivpuri) to Ghusar village near Vejalpur. The incident occurred as the truck approached the village of Isarodiya on Vejalpur Road. Suddenly, a short circuit ignited a fire in the driver’s side bonnet of the truck.

The fire quickly spread, engulfing the entire truck and its load. Fortunately, the driver was able to escape safely, preventing any injuries. The driver immediately alerted the Godhra Fire Brigade, who responded swiftly. Firefighters, led by Officer P.F. Solanki, arrived at the scene and worked tirelessly to control the blaze, spraying water on the flames for several hours.

The fire destroyed the truck and all 150 bales of grass it was carrying. The incident highlights the importance of quick actions in emergencies. Thanks to the driver’s prompt reporting and the fire brigade’s rapid response, what could have been a tragic accident was averted.
