Turkey Denies Maintenance Claims in Ahmedabad Plane Crash

A tragic plane crash in Ahmedabad has raised serious questions about aircraft maintenance. The incident involved an Air India Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner, which sadly resulted in the loss of 270 lives. Following the crash, allegations emerged against a Turkish company regarding the maintenance of the aircraft. In response, Turkey has clarified that it did not maintain the crashed plane. This statement aims to counter the claims that have been made.

Turkey’s Centre for Countering Disinformation released a statement saying, “The maintenance of the Boeing 787-8 aircraft that crashed in Ahmedabad was not conducted by Turkish Technic. The contract with Air India for 2024-25 is only for the maintenance of B777 wide-body aircraft, which does not include the Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner.” They further added that these allegations might be attempts to harm the relations between India and Turkey.

The controversy escalated when Baba Ramdev, a well-known yoga guru, suggested that there might have been foul play behind the crash. He claimed, “I have learned that the maintenance was done by a Turkish agency. India should stop foreign companies from interfering in the aviation sector.” In response to Ramdev’s accusations, Turkey stated that such comments are intended to damage their reputation, and that they would take necessary actions against such activities.

In the wake of the crash, the Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau (AAIB) has sent a team to Ahmedabad. Experts believe that the cause of the crash could relate to aircraft maintenance issues, technical failures, or balance problems during take-off. The investigation aims to uncover the truth behind this tragic event.

Turkey expressed its condolences to the people of India following this unfortunate incident. In their statement, they said, “We stand with the people of India during this sorrowful time and expect a fair investigation into the crash.” The ongoing investigation into how and why the aircraft crashed has sparked widespread concern and discussion.

Baba Ramdev’s comments have also drawn attention to the potential geopolitical implications of the crash. Recently, tensions have risen between India and Turkey, especially after India’s Operation Sindhura in Pakistan. Ramdev’s remarks about a possible conspiracy have led to calls for a thorough investigation into whether there was any involvement from Turkish agencies in this tragic incident.

The investigation continues as experts analyze all possible factors that could have led to the disaster. The aviation community is watching closely as more details emerge. In the meantime, it remains crucial for all countries involved to ensure the safety and security of their aviation sectors to prevent such tragedies in the future.
