University of Wollongong India Admissions for July 2025 Close Soon

The University of Wollongong (UOW) India has announced that admissions for its GIFT City campus for July 2025 will close on June 27, 2025. Potential applicants waiting for their final year results are encouraged to apply early. Students can apply for various master’s programs in computing (data analytics) and financial technology (fintech). Orientation for the new batch will take place from July 7 to July 13, 2025, with lectures starting on July 14, 2025. UOW India aims to provide globally relevant and career-oriented education in collaboration with various Indian institutions, including technology and consulting firm IBM India, multinational financial and banking services company ANZ Bank headquartered in Melbourne, fintech incubator Fthonia Labs, and business software suite Odoo. This collaboration aims to enhance industry readiness and education in fields like fintech, AI and ML, cybersecurity, and cloud computing. Nirmay Kalyani, Campus Director of UOW India, stated that as India continues its journey towards a digital-powered economy, the demand for talent in areas like fintech and computing is increasing. UOW India sees this as a significant opportunity to shape future leaders and innovators through programs that are closely connected to industry and globally recognised. The commitment is to prepare graduates who are job-ready and can contribute meaningfully to India’s growing digital economy, supporting the vision of a developed India by 2047. As part of this collaboration, students will gain access to guest lectures from industry experts, industry projects, internship opportunities, academic mentorship, and job placement assistance across various roles in industries ranging from BFSI to software development, startups, IT industry, and more. Under the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, the Australian university has partnered with various Indian universities across the country, including Gujarat Technological University, Sardar Vallabhbhai Global University, NMIMS Mumbai, Karnavati University, Institute of Advanced Research, and others in Gujarat. Similarly, partnerships have been established with universities in the north, such as Manav Rachna University, Amity University (Jaipur), Chitkara University, Chandigarh University, and Lovely Professional University. In the south, collaborations have been made with Rama Devi Women’s University, Duxford International Business School, SRM University, VIT, and many more. These partnerships focus on establishing strategic educational collaborations while incorporating the NEP 2020 initiative. UOW India offers education and practical professional development modules that meet the current needs of MNCs, including small, medium, and large organisations in India.
