Students at the Government Vinay and Commerce College in Tharad have faced severe water shortages for three months. This issue has caused great distress among students, especially with the summer heat intensifying. Currently, the college is in the process of admitting new students, and academic activities are set to begin soon, making the lack of drinking water even more pressing. On June 2, the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) Tharad branch submitted a formal complaint to the municipal authorities, urging them to find a permanent solution to the water crisis. They warned that if the municipality does not address the issue within ten days, they would initiate a vigorous protest. This meeting saw the presence of ABVP officials and local leaders, who highlighted the urgency of resolving the water problem for the well-being of the students. The college, a vital educational institution, cannot afford such neglect, especially during the peak admission season. The students and faculty hope that the municipal authorities will act swiftly to ensure adequate water supply. Water is essential for health and learning, and the college community is anxious for a quick resolution.
