Waterlogged Near Pratappura Primary School in Vav

In Vav taluka, a new asphalt road has been constructed from Dhima to Pratappura village. However, during this process, the road department raised the height of the road near Pratappura Primary School without any planning. As a result, water has accumulated knee-deep around the school, causing distress to the villagers and the schoolchildren for over a week. With more rain forecasted, parents are worried about how their children will safely enter the school. Despite complaints to the authorities, no solutions have been provided yet. Anger is rising among the villagers, and they are threatening to launch a protest if immediate action is not taken by the district collector and the education department. The situation highlights the urgent need for better planning and communication from the road department to avoid such issues in future projects. Local residents are calling for accountability and swift action to address the flooding and ensure safe access to the school for the children.
