AAP Demands Removal of Minister Bachu Khabad in Patan

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in Patan has taken a significant step by submitting a memorandum to the Chief Minister. This request is for the immediate removal of Minister Bachu Khabad. The party claims that he is involved in corrupt practices that harm the local community. The memorandum was presented to the district collector on Monday. AAP workers and officials were present during the submission.

The memorandum highlights concerns about the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA). This central government scheme aims to provide employment to rural people. It allows local communities to take on various development projects. These include building new check dams, roads, and deepening ponds. The government has allocated a budget of ₹86,000 crores for this scheme this year.

However, AAP accuses Minister Khabad and his family of presenting false bills. They allege that this has led to the embezzlement of crores of rupees meant for poor villagers. Despite these serious allegations, the government has not taken any action against Khabad. Instead, he remains in his position. The party argues that if Khabad and his family have committed fraud in just three villages, the scale of corruption across all districts could be enormous.

AAP is calling for an immediate investigation into these allegations. They demand that a special, impartial committee be formed to look into corruption claims throughout the state. The party insists that honest taxpayers of Gujarat deserve to see justice served against those in power who exploit their positions.

The issue has sparked widespread concern among local residents. Many people believe that such corruption not only affects their livelihoods but also the development of their communities. As a result, AAP’s actions have garnered support from various groups in Patan.

In summary, the Aam Aadmi Party is pressing for accountability in governance. They urge the state government to take swift action against alleged corrupt officials. The ongoing situation highlights the need for transparency and integrity in public service, particularly in schemes designed to uplift rural communities. The future of many villagers depends on the government’s response to these serious allegations against Minister Khabad.
