In Singvad Taluka, the bus service from Patangdi to Piplod has been suspended for the last four to five days. This disruption has caused significant problems for students and farmers who rely on this transport. The bus service was initiated a while ago by local MP Jashvant Singh Bhabhor and MLA Shailesh Bhai Bhabhor to provide convenience for students and passengers from nearby villages such as Navagam, Patangdi, Vaghanala, Khudra, and Limbodar.
After running for some time, the bus service was modified by the ST officials. They changed it from Patangdi to Piplod, and then it was rerouted from Piplod back to Singvad. This unexpected change has left students and farmers stranded, especially those who need to travel for education or work.
Local residents have expressed their frustration. They believe that the ST department should ensure that the bus is made operational regularly. The issue has been raised with the Patangdi Taluka Panchayat members, who have also demanded that the bus service be reinstated. The repeated disruptions highlight the need for reliable transportation in rural areas, where public transport is often the only means for students and farmers to reach their destinations.
The situation has prompted community members to voice their concerns. They have called for immediate action from the authorities to restore the bus service. Many students have reported difficulties in reaching their schools due to the lack of transport. Farmers, too, have faced challenges in getting their goods to market, further impacting their livelihoods.
As the rainy season continues, the urgency to reinstate the bus service increases. Local leaders are expected to meet with ST officials to discuss this matter further. The residents of Patangdi and surrounding villages hope for a swift resolution so they can continue their daily routines without further hindrance. This incident serves as a reminder of the critical role that public transport plays in rural communities, especially in times of need.
