Police Raid Fake Liquor Factory in Jamnagar, Seizes Goods Worth ₹7 Lakh

In Jamnagar, police have intensified efforts to combat criminal activities. They are keeping a close watch on suspicious locations and people. Recently, the Local Crime Branch (LCB) had a significant breakthrough by uncovering a fake liquor factory in the district. Based on a tip-off, the LCB team conducted a raid in the Modha village area. During this operation, they seized goods worth ₹7.28 lakh, including 1,056 fake liquor bottles. The suspect involved in the production of fake liquor managed to escape. However, the police arrested six individuals connected to the factory. This is not the first incident in Jamnagar; earlier, a mini factory producing counterfeit foreign liquor was also raided. In that case, the police seized 800 litres of spirit, 59 bottles, and goods worth ₹8.23 lakh, leading to the arrest of three people.

The LCB’s actions are part of a broader strategy to maintain law and order in the district. The newly opened LCB office in Jamnagar has modern technology to assist in crime control. District Police Chief Pramsukh Delu inaugurated the office recently. The new office is equipped with various computers and software that help police personnel track criminals and manage cases efficiently. This includes software for monitoring mobile phone data and controlling CCTV systems, making it easier to solve crimes.

The LCB team is also preparing a list of bootleggers and other notorious criminals in the district. They are working on strategies to tackle these issues, including filing requests for stringent actions against repeat offenders. The police have been successful in resolving over 90% of theft and robbery cases, returning stolen goods to victims. This success has earned them recognition from senior police officials, and rewards have been given for their hard work. With the new LCB office fully operational, the police aim to strengthen their efforts against crime in Jamnagar. The community can feel safer knowing that law enforcement is equipped and ready to tackle illegal activities.
