Prime Minister Modi to Launch Development Projects Worth ₹24,000 Crores in Dahod

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Gujarat on May 26 and 27. During his visit, he will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for development projects worth over ₹24,000 crores in Dahod. This event is expected to mark a significant step in the development of Central Gujarat.

One major project is a railway manufacturing unit. Built at a cost of ₹21,405 crores, this workshop will create over 10,000 jobs. It is part of the ‘Make in India’ initiative. The Prime Minister will also unveil the first of its kind, a 9000 HP locomotive engine. This engine can carry 4600 tons of cargo. The goal is to produce 1,200 such engines in the next ten years. In total, the Prime Minister will inaugurate railway projects worth ₹23,692 crores. These include doubling railway lines and electrification of lines in Anand, Godhra, Mehsana, and Palanpur.

In addition to railway projects, the Prime Minister will launch four drinking water supply schemes. These projects will provide pure drinking water to 193 villages and one city in the Dahod and Mahisagar districts. With an investment of ₹181 crores, these schemes will benefit around 462,000 people. The projects include:
1. Namnar Group Water Supply Scheme – ₹49 crores
2. Kheroli Group Water Supply Scheme – ₹70 crores
3. Charangam Group Water Supply Scheme – ₹33 crores
4. Gothib Group Water Supply Scheme – ₹29 crores

Moreover, various other development works will also be inaugurated. This includes the construction of a municipality building and an Adivasi museum in Dahod, worth ₹233 crores. The Prime Minister will also lay the foundation for police housing works costing ₹53 crores.

In Vadodara district, several road projects will receive attention. This includes the widening of the Savli-Timba road and the construction of new bridges. The total investment for these road projects is ₹581 crores.

Overall, the Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone for seven development works, amounting to ₹706 crores. This visit is crucial for the development of Dahod and surrounding areas, promising better infrastructure and facilities for the local population.
