Ahmedabad’s Civil Hospital is stepping up its efforts to assist families of accident victims. The state government has organised a system to ensure that relatives do not face difficulties in receiving necessary documents. This includes paperwork for the handover of deceased bodies and insurance claims.
To make the process smoother, the administrative system has appointed over 250 nodal officers. These officials are in constant communication with families of the victims to ensure they receive the necessary support. The hospital is working closely with local leaders, police, and municipal officials to provide assistance to these families at every stage.
The health department has deployed an additional 855 staff members at the Civil Hospital. This move is aimed at ensuring that the hospital can handle the increased demand for services following the recent accidents.
So far, DNA tests have matched 119 samples from relatives of the victims, leading to the identification and dignified handover of 76 deceased bodies. The hospital staff is committed to treating each case with respect and care, reassuring families that they will not be left alone during this difficult time.
Dr Rakesh Joshi, the medical director of the Civil Hospital, has confirmed that the hospital has received donations of 600 organs through three major donations. These donations have saved 582 lives, showcasing the hospital’s commitment to life-saving measures and the importance of organ donation.
The Civil Hospital is one of the largest treatment centres in Asia. It is well-equipped to handle complex cases and has a history of providing quality healthcare services. With its expansion plans, the hospital aims to increase its capacity to accommodate more patients, ensuring that it can continue to serve the community effectively.
In light of recent events, the Civil Hospital has urged the public not to believe in misinformation circulating on social media. The Superintendent of the hospital has called for trust in the official processes and has reassured families that their loved ones will be treated with the utmost dignity.
As the hospital continues to navigate this challenging period, its focus remains on providing comprehensive care and support to those affected by recent accidents. The dedicated staff and administrative team are working tirelessly to ensure that every family receives the help they need, reflecting the hospital’s commitment to community health and safety.
